Running an agency involves a lot of plate-juggling, especially when you’re managing a multitude of clients and projects at any one time. Having recently taken on our first employee, and surpassed the milestone of fifty clients, our founder Kelly knew it was high time to upgrade from the hand-written to-do list.

When you’ve got tens of blogs, web pages, newsletters and press releases to complete in a given week, each with different deadlines, staying abreast of the to-do list can be tricky, especially working as a team.
Skwish enables us to designate tasks to a specific copywriter, along with a deadline, facilitating simple online scheduling. So our junior copywriter, Josh, can see exactly what he needs to do each day… and the next, and the one after that.
If priorities change or a new project comes in, we can easily play around with the deadlines and schedule. In the dedicated tab, you can drag and drop tasks to where they need to be.
As many of our clients work on a retainer basis, it can be time-consuming creating a brief every single week. However, as Skwish allows you to set recurring tasks, it can automatically reassign a task for the following Tuesday, or two weeks’ time.
Furthermore, because you can add notes to your Client page, such as approved titles, keywords or passwords, it means that any one of us can access the information we need to get started in one place. No more digging out documents with plans and ideas!
When Josh first started, we faced a never-ending trail of emails and Skype messages crammed with attachments and amends. It goes without saying that this is distracting – the same goes for collaborating with clients.
Skwish’s online approvals feature allows you to see exactly what stage a task or project is at, without scrolling through emails. A piece of work can simply be signed off within Skwish, or sent back for amendments.
Now that we’re starting to add clients to the portal, we can also make it straightforward for them to feedback and sign off on projects – which can only be a good thing for client management.
We’re made up with how Skwish has transformed our workflow, despite only scratching the surface of its amazing features so far. A big thumbs up to The Code Guy for making such a fantastic project management tool – we’d definitely recommend giving it a go.
